Russell’s experience of working with technology while helping people began with his employment at Circuit City in 2002. While working at Circuit City, he developed a sense of providing support for all ranges of customers, integrating his knowledge of computers and peripherals with the ability to tailor his technical guidance from beginner to advanced. Due to his natural interest and excitement about technology, Russell was able to maintain a strong level of sales with high customer satisfaction.
In 2003, Russell began his experience at Boston University’s School of Management. While taking classes full time, Russell worked at University Computers as a sales associate and front desk technician. While at University Computers and attending classes at the School of Management, Russell provided technology support to students, faculty, and employees of Boston University.
During 2006-2007, Russell was also employed by the School of Management as the head teaching assistant for the Cross Functional Core Program, considered to be one of the most challenging and intensive programs offered by the School of Management. The Core program consists of 4 classes (Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Information Systems) where a team of 6 to 8 individuals would develop a business plan from the conceptual stage through completed marketing, sales, operations, and financial plans. Russell acted as the lead teaching assistant, with an emphasis on providing a better understanding of how to implement information systems in the proposed business plans.
Russell graduated from Boston University’s School of Management in 2007 with a dual concentration in Management Information Systems and Entrepreneurship. Russell worked as an instructor and technology administrator for Balanced Life Skills, a martial arts and life skills school in Annapolis, MD.
